Implementation Services

MORS adopts an agile iterative approach to its customer implementation projects. We firstly install the software, typically in less than 1 day.

Thereafter we work on an iterative basis with the primary objective of the solution adding value to your business as soon as possible. After initial data loading and configuration, you should already be able to use the solution. All steps thereafter are to refine and improve performance and accuracy.

Once implemented, MORS offers a variety of post implementation services.

Technical Managed Services

We offer a range of Managed Services as add-on services to our clients.

For customers wishing to deploy into their own Cloud environment or On Premise, MORS Software offers a technical managed service to ensure optimal performance of the system and a great user experience.

The offered services free up our clients from monitoring and managing the data and software processes inherent with Treasury ALM software. The services also ensure optimal system performance as MORS Software’s support specialists will pro-actively monitor the installation. The Managed Services are offered both for clients with on-premise and in Cloud installations.

MORS provides this service orientated around period cycles for Daily, Monthly, and Half Yearly activities.

For our SaaS customer’s this service is naturally included.

Some of the key benefits from our Managed Services include:

  • As MORS Software’s support experts will be monitoring and managing the system and integrations there is no need for our clients to invest time and resource in technical maintenance and monitoring of MORS. Our clients can fully focus on using MORS and benefiting from the system.
  • The pro-active monitoring of MORS and related integrations will help maximise uptime of the system and mean shorter resolution times in case issues arise.
  • In cases where our clients ask us to support them with data content matters or with setting up scenarios, MORS Software’s experts will be close at hand. This means new datasets, scenarios and reports can efficiently be produced in short timeframes.

The following is a sample of tasks included in the Managed Services offering. For each client, the duties and responsibilities will be tailored to meet exact requirements:

  • Monitoring, managing and optimising key data imports, such as banking book and market data imports
  • Monitoring, managing and optimising key MORS internal tasks & routines such as Start of Day and re-evaluation routines
  • Monitoring, managing and optimising key data exports from MORS, such as accounting entries to the G/L and exports to third party databases or data warehouses
  • Market data timeliness and quality checks
  • Set up of new products, instruments and yield curves as well as maintaining existing ones
  • Performing MORS version upgrades in line with MORS semi-annual major release policy

  • Setting up and managing tailored reporting services

Configuration Managed Service

NMD/Prepayment Modelling Managed Service

MORS Software also offers a subscription service for Deposit and Loan analytics.

This service comprises of a professional service utilising a specialist proprietary modelling tool. The service, together with our tool, integrates seamlessly with the MORS Balance Sheet Management analytics modules for Non-Maturing Deposits and Loan Prepayments. This Managed Service provides insights into the balance sheet behavioural components to support and improve your Interest Rate Risk Management (IRRBB) and Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) capabilities.

We apply advanced machine learning on transactional level data to estimate portfolio/segment level model parameters. Using institution specific historical data, we provide conceptually sound, robust, and consistent assumptions to model products in scope under different interest rate and economic scenarios to help you assess the behavioural optionality of these products.

These results are then used directly in MORS, specifically Interest Rate Risk Scenarios for increased accuracy in determining the interest rate risk profile of your portfolio and inform interest rate risk hedging strategies and product level pricing/profitability analysis.

Retail Mortgage Prepayment Model

Providing insight into mortgage prepayment behaviour for different products/segments under different scenarios in line with industry practices:

  • Calibration of an industry standard model that estimates prepayment rates on a portfolio of retail mortgages based on historical observations
  • Prepayment profiles (CPR, time on books dependent CPR) for identified product segments
  • Sensitivity of estimates to changes in rates and other factors
  • Monthly refresh and dashboarding to track deviations from historical trends and expected outcomes

Deposit Model

Provide insights into customer deposit balance behaviour under different scenarios and aligned with regulatory requirements (BCBS/EBA-IRRBB) and industry practices.

  • Calibration of an industry standard model that estimates behaviour of deposit balances informed by historical behaviour and data availability
  • Non-maturity deposits interest rate and liquidity profiles (stable/volatile split, rate elasticity (beta), balance decay (expected life)) for identified product and segments
  • Sensitivity of estimates to changes in rates and other factors (e.g., market rates)
  • Monthly refresh and dashboarding to track deviations from historical trends and expected outcomes

For both the Retail Mortgage Prepayment Model and Deposit Model, the following is also provided:

  • Documentation describing general characteristics of models (behavioural/modelling assumptions)
  • Validation results (development validation).
